My Personal Library Account

Self Service Check Out via Internet is available at LISSS:

You do not need to access your account in order to find a book! However, if you wish to renew or request a book or submit an order to the main campus library from the periodical section or InterLibrary services, then you must log in to your account.
(You must also be a registered library user!)

You must also access your account in order to find out which books are currently out on loan, when the loan period for these books expires, and which books you have requested and view the contact information you provided.

Registration for Users WITH an E-Directory Identifier:

User ID: Student ID number beginning with K, i.e.: K0012345
Your password is your personal e-Directory password.

User ID: Personnel number on your JKU Card beginning with AK, i.e.: AK109999
Your password is your personal e-Directory password.

User ID = BKIdentificationNumber (The 4-digit identification number is located on the front of your library ID card, i.e.: BK1000)
Password = E-Directory password
No e-Directory password yet? Go to and activate your user account. Once the account has been activated, you will be asked to create a password.

After you have completed your search on a public computer at the library, please do not forget to LOG OUT (click on ABMELDEN in the upper menu bar) and CLOSE the BROWSER. This will protect your personal information and ensure it cannot be used or accessed by someone else!
