Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to theORP3 - Euro Conference for Young OR Researchers (“Conference”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.
Responsible for the organization of the Conference is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute for Production and Logistics Management, located in Linz, Austria
Registration to the Conference must be done through the online registration system. The number of participants is limited to PhD students with an accepted paper for the conference. Registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is May, 15, 2012. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to orp3(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the Organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The registration fee is € 200,-- and includes book of abstracts, lunches, coffee breaks, accomodation and the social program.
Travel expenses and social dinner are excluded from registration fees and result in additional expenses.
We recommend using the online payment (Master Card, Visa, American Express) when registering for the Conference. The alternative is a bank transfer in the amount of € 200,-- for a fee in the amount of € 6,-- (€ 206,-- in total). Additional bank transfer costs have to be covered by the participants. You will receive an invoice with detailed bank information after registration.
After the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful.
All payments are made in Euro.
Cancellations after May, 15, 2012, there will be no refund and the full amount will remain due.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, the speakers and the times of presentations. If the number of participants is insufficient, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the Organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration fee actually paid.
The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.
The Organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Conference for reports of the Conference and announcement of events in future.
All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Conference. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
