Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the Workshop "Membrane Transport of Small Solutes". Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to carefully read and understand these terms before registering. The organizers will not accept any conditions that are contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.
The group responsible for the organization of the conference is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute of Biophysics, located in Linz, Austria.
Registration for the conference must be carried out via the online registration system. The number of single and double rooms is limited. Registration will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is 30 May 2014. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation with the registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to peter.pohl(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the organizers have received your booking. Registration will only be effective upon receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify us immediately about any changes or corrections to your registration.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions, book of abstracts, detailed program, list of participants, accommodation for two nights, an afternoon excursion, conference meal expenses, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks.
Travel expenses are excluded from registration fees and therefore result in additional expenses.
We recommend using the online payment (Master Card, Visa, American Express) when registering for the Conference. After initiating the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that informs you if the transaction was successful. All payments are made in Euro.
The organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-datedness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the conference.
The organizer may use and release pictures of the participants and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the conference without payment fees (free of charge) and without the further consent to use at their discretion for reports of the conference and announcements for future events.
All personal data provided to the organizers for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the conference. The organizers will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the organizers and the participants and all disputes which may arise between the organizers and the participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
