Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the Joint Annual Meeting of the Austrian Physical Society and the Swiss Physical Society (“Conference”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering.
Responsible for the organization of the Conference is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute of Semiconductor and Solid State Physics, located in Linz, Austria.
Online registration is possible from April 1 to August 22, 2013. Regular registration fees are available till August 4. After August 4 the late registration fees with a 20€ surcharge apply. The online registration system closes on August 22. On-site registration at late registration fees will still be available. Participants using the online registration system will receive an automatic confirmation of their registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to oepg_sps2013(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the organizers have received your booking. Registration will only be effective upon receipt of the registration fee, or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately to the aforementioned e-mail address.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The registration fees include the program- and abstract booklet, access to all plenary and regular sessions, access to the exhibition of scientific equipment and books, welcome reception on Sept. 3, all coffee breaks, and refreshments during the poster sessions.
Five categories of fees are available as listed below. Membership prices refer to members of any of the following organizations: ÖPG, SPS, ÖGAA, SGAA, DPG. The listed prices are regular fees for registration until Aug. 4, 2013. Prices in parenthesis are late registration fees for registration after Aug. 4, 2013 and for on-site registration. The conference fee is waived for plenary and invited speakers.

* undergraduate students are inscribed students who have not yet received a Diplom-, Magister- or Master-Degree
A limited number of seats is available for the Conference Dinner on Sept. 5, 2013. On-line booking of the Conference Dinner at a charge of € 70 is available upon registration on a first-come-first-served basis.
We recommend using online payment (Master Card, Visa, American Express) when registering for the Conference. Alternatively payment by bank transfer is available. After online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message confirming a successful transaction. All payments are made in Euro.
Participants shall be entitled to cancel their registration within a period of 7 days after registration at no cancellation charge. In this case the registration shall not become due. Notwithstanding the preceding provision the following shall apply: If cancellations are received by August 22, 2013, the registration fee will be reimbursed minus an administrative fee of € 15. If cancellations are received after August 22, 2013, there will be no refund and the full amount will remain due. The date of receipt shall be decisive. Participants, who do not cancel and do not attend, will still be responsible for the full registration fee. The Participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.
All cancellations and changes must be submitted in written form – with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement – to the email adress: email@example.com .
The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-date-ness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.
All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Conference. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
