Terms and Conditions

General

The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the 7th Workshop on Digital Fluid Power (“Workshop”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Workshop and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.

Organizer

Responsible for the organization of the Workshop is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute of Machine Design and Hydraulic Drives, and the Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH, located in Linz, Austria.

Registration

Registration to the Workshop must be done through the online registration system. Registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadlines: Workshop: February 20, 2015, Alpine Weekend: October 31, 2014. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to office.dfp15(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the Organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.

Fees and Payment Conditions

The registration fee is € 350 and includes workshop proceedings, lunch, refreshments and a dinner on February 26th evening.
Travel, accommodation, and the Alpine Weekend are excluded from workshop registration fee and are charged separately.
We recommend using the online payment (Master Card, Visa, American Express) when registering for the Workshop. The alternative is a bank transfer. After the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful. All payments are made in Euro.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation of the Alpine Weekend a cancellation fee according to the following table will be charged:

for cancellations up to 1 month prior to booked date of arrival

for cancellations up to 1 week prior to booked date of arrival

for cancellations within 1 week of booked date of arrival

50 % of the total price of the arrangement

80 % of the total price of the arrangement

100 % of the total price of the arrangement

All cancellations and changes must be submitted in written from - with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement - to office.dfp15(/\t)jku.at.

Liability

The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to workshop documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Workshop.

Photographs etc.

The Organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Workshop for reports of the Workshop and announcement of events in future.

Privacy Policy

All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Workshop. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Disputes

All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
