Terms and Conditions

General

The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to theJoint Workshop on Academic Recognition and Credit Transfer (“Workshop”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Workshop and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.

Organizer

Responsible for the organization of the Conference are the following universities:
• Ghent University (Belgium)
• Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria)
• Politecnico di Torino (Italy)
• Université Montpellier 2 (France)
• Université Paul Sabatier – Toulouse III (France)

Registration

Registration to the Workshop must be done through the online registration system. The number of participants is limited to 300. Registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is September 25, 2014 for university partners in one (or more) of the involved EMA2 projects and October 15, 2014 for participants from other institutions. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details.
If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to JWARCT(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the Organizer has received your registration. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.

Fees and Payment Conditions

The participation fee is 60 € for university partners in one of the following projects:
AREAS, AREAS+, GATE, Lotus I, Lotus II, Lotus III, Lotus Unlimited, Panacea, TECHNO and TECHNO 2

The fee for participants from other institutions is 120 €.

A credit card (Master Card, Visa, American Express) is required for the online payment when registering for the Workshop. After the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful. All payments are made in Euro.
The Workshop fee includes admission to all conference sessions, list of participants, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks as well as lunch and Welcome Dinner as indicated in the programme.

Cancellation

All cancellations and changes must be submitted by e-mail – with indication of the full name according to the registration – to JWARCT(/\t)jku.at.
The following conditions shall apply: If cancellations are received by October 15, 2014, the registration fee will be reimbursed in full. If cancellations are received by November 1, 2014 half of the fee will be reimbursed. For cancellations made after November 1, 2014, there will be no refund. The date of receipt shall be decisive. Participants, who do not cancel and do not attend, will still be responsible for the full registration fee. The Participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.

For room cancellations at the Apsara Angkor Hotel the following policy applies:
- Up to 3 weeks before arrival date: free cancellation
- 3 to 1 week before arrival date: 50%
- 6 to 3 days before arrival date: 80%
- Less than 3 days before arrival date or no show: 100%
 
The participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the programme, the speakers and the times of presentations.

Liability

The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Workshop.

Photographs etc.

The Organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Workshop for reports of the Conference and announcement of events in future.

Privacy Policy

All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Workshop. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Disputes

All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
