Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the MCM2015 - 10th IMACS Seminar on Monte Carlo Methods (“Conference”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.
Responsible for the organization of the Conference is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute of Financial Mathematics, located in Linz, Austria
Registration to the Conference must be done through the online registration system. The number of participants is limited to 200. Registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is July 6, 2014. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain anything, please send an email to mcm2015(/\t)jku.at to make sure that the Organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The early bird regular registration fee is €300 and includes admission to all conference sessions,conference dinner, book of abstracts, detailed program, list of participants, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, and IMACS membership for the year 2015.
Early bird registration fees apply until March 31, 2015. Thereafter a late registration fee of 350 will be charged.
IMACS members enjoy a discount of € 30.
Students and special session organizers enjoy a discount of € 60, on the early bird registration fee if registering before March 31, 2015.
Travel, accommodation, and meal expenses are excluded from registration fees and result in additional expenses.
We recommend using the online payment (Master Card, Visa, American Express) when registering for the Conference.
See below the detailed bank information. After the online payment you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful. All payments are made in Euro.
CancellationParticipants shall be entitled to cancel their registration within a period of 7 days after registration at no cancellation charge. In this case the registration shall not become due. Notwithstanding the preceding provision the following shall apply: If cancellations are received by March 31st, 2015, the registration fee will be reimbursed minus an administrative fee of 10 euros. If cancellations are received after May 31st, 2015, the registration fee will be reimbursed minus an administrative fee of 30 euros. If cancellations are received after June 30th, 2015, the registration fee will be reimbursed minus an administrative fee of 60 euros.
The Participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.
All cancellations and changes must be submitted in written form – with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement – to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, the speakers and the times of presentations. If the number of participants is insufficient, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the Organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration fee actually paid.
The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.
The Organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures and shots taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Conference for reports of the Conference and announcement of events in future.
All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Conference. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
