Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the GeoGebra Global Gathering 2017 (“Gathering”). Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Gathering and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.
Responsible for the organization of the Gathering is the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Department of STEM Education, located in Linz, Austria
Registration to the Gathering must be done through the online registration system. Registrations will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The early bird registration deadline is 30 April 2017. The late registration deadline is 31 May 2017. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact gathering(/\t)geogebra.org. Registration can only be confirmed on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of credit card payment.
Fees and Payment Conditions
The registration fee includes admission to all gathering sessions, detailed program including participant list, welcome bag, lunch/meal vouchers and morning and afternoon refreshment breaks for the period of the conference.
Early Bird Registration ends 30 April 2017.
We recommend using the online payment system via credit card. Alternatively, we accept EPS online transfer.
Cancellations made within 7 days of registration will be refunded in full and are not subject to a cancellation charge. Participants are not able to attend will still be responsible for the full registration fee. Participants have the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost having notified the gathering office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Cancellation and change requests must be sent by email to gathering(/\t)geogebra.org and include the registrants full name, invoice number and bank details.
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, including keynote/plenary speakers, presentation schedule and excursions.
The Organizer does not accept liability for the correctness and completeness in respect to gathering documentation and content. The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Gathering.
The Organizer may use and release photographs taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Gathering free of charge and without the further consent of the participants for the purpose reporting on and publicizing the Gathering and/or future related announcements without limitation.
All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. Personal data may be shared with Gathering service providers only where deemed necessary for the successful organization and delivery of the Gathering. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants are subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
