Molecular Biology - Master's Degree Program
Studies in Molecular Biology (Bachelor's degree program: Molecular Life Sciences, Master's degree program: Molecular Biology) at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Salzburg and at Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the University of Linz have been designed to prepare students for careers as molecular biologists. The curriculum provides students with a scientific and application oriented professional education.
The program encompasses each and every aspect of biology in which molecular mechanisms have been discovered and will be discovered. The program offers graduates excellent qualifications for professional careers in pharmaceutical research, biomedical research, bioengineering, biological and environmental anaylsis, medical and diagnostic laboratories as well as public administration.
The program prepares graduates for numerous applied and future-oriented professional fields as well as areas of base-knowledge research in molecular biology at universities and research institutions. A few examples of professional fields include pharmaceutical research, biomedical research, bioengineering, biological and environmental analysis, medical and diagnostic laboratories as well as public administration.
