"Joint Russia – Austria Workshop“ - Austrian and Russian Mechanic and Automated Control Engineering Experts at the JKU

The "Joint Russia - Austria Workshop on Advanced Dynamics and Model Based Control of Structures and Machines“ at the JKU will focus on the latest scientific methods of computer-supported simulations and regulations controls for structures and machines. The workshop will take place at the Johannes Kepler University on April 26 and 27. Over 30 international leading experts, including many members of scientific academies, are expected to attend.

The Wilhelm Macke Award 2010 Presented at the JKU

On April 8, 2010, the Wilhelm Macke Award for the best academic diploma degree theses submitted by a physics student in the 2008/2009 academic year was presented during a ceremony held at the Johannes Kepler University. The award, named after Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Macke, founder of the physics program at the JKU, has been presented annually since 1997 to the most outstanding theses and also awards grants which enable physics students to study and conduct research abroad.
