JKU Scientists Develop New Synthetic Materials for the Encapsulation of Solar Cells

Scientists at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz have reeled in a large-scale project in photovoltaics designed to develop new synthetic materials to encapsulate solar cells. By researching how to develop more efficient and economical procedures, the project supports the current trend to increase the added value of synthetic materials for photovoltaics while simultaneously reducing costs. The 2.3 million Euro project will be financed via the Austrian Research Promotion Agency through the national research and technology program NEW ENERGY 2020 supported by the Climate and Energy Fund.
