Enrollment before Studying: Deadline to Enroll in a Bachelor’s or Diploma Degree Program is February 5

Applicants who wish to enroll at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz in a Bachelor’s degree program, teacher education program or Diploma degree program must submit an application by February 5. Those who do not enroll by the deadline will not be admitted to the university. In exceptional cases, applicants may be admitted during the grade period (to April 30).

Inaugural Lectures by Prof. Iller and Prof. Hilgers

On Monday, January 28, 2013 the Johannes Kepler University Linz extended an invitation to inaugural lectures by Univ. Prof. Dr. Carola Iller (Institute for Education and Psychology) and Univ. Prof. Dr. Dennis Hilgers (Institute of Public and Non-Profit Management). The JKU continues to value the tradition of inaugural lectures and over 100 guests were on hand on Monday to hear both professors speak.

Minister Attends JKU Conference on Gender Equality

Together with the Institute for Women’s Studies and Gender Research (head: Johann Bacher), Legal Gender Studies (head: Silvia Ulrich), Sociology (Brigitte Aulenbacher) and the Department of Policies for Equal Opportunity (head: Margit Waid), the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG) at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz under by Andrea Bauernberger-Kiesl organized a two-day conference on January 24-25 titled "Zwischen Gleichstellungserfolgen und Antifeminismus: Zwiespältige Tendenzen in der Modernisierung der Geschlechterverhältnisse".

"We Will Rock You! – The JKU Celebrates the 80s" – 2013 JKU Ball

Neon colors, shoulder pads, the Moonwalk and much more – guests at the annual 2013 Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Ball on January 18 traveled back in time to the 80s. Under the motto "We Will Rock You! – The JKU Celebrates the 80s", highlights included an impressive opening number to hits from iconic 80s movies such as "Flashdance" and "Dirty Dancing", the spectacular "Let’s Rock You" midnight show, top notch non-stop music, and dance lessons with "Dancing Star" Alexander Kreissl.
