Young Researchers: Kick-Off for the “2016 JKU Young Scientists” Program

The JKU Young Scientists program was launched at the Johannes Kepler University Linz in 2009 to support the development of talented and motivated school students. The “JKU Young Scientists” program is Upper Austria’s most comprehensive support and development program for talented school students from AHS and BHS schools. Under the guidance of JKU experts, participants attend hands-on workshops and conduct research on topics in engineering and natural sciences. The program is in its seventh year and this year, over 100 budding young scientists and researchers are signed up to take part.

Affirmed: The JKU is a Family-Friendly University

Be it JKU employees as primary caregivers for relatives or students who have childcare responsibilities, helping to combine work and family life is more than lip service at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. The Austrian Federal Minister for Family and Youth, Sophie Karmasin, has presented the JKU with another award in recognition of the exemplary Audit "hochschuleundfamilie" program.
