July 22: Give Me More: The JKU’s MORE Program Offers University Access to Refugees

For quite some time now, the refugee crisis has been dominating the news and politics. Along with news coverage about national elections and Brexit, the handling of the refugee crisis is also a prevalent news topic. Away from the spotlight, Johannes Kepler University Linz has developed its own approach to the issue and is actively taking part in UNIKO’s “MORE” program.

July 18: "Electronics and Information Technology" - New Name and Curriculum for Studies in Information Electronics

New professors, a revised curriculum and a befitting, enterprising new name: Renaming the degree program “Information Electronics” to “Electronics and Information Technology” at the Johannes Kepler University Linz means more than just a mere name change.

July 4: JKU is the First to Show Three Dimensional Illumination

In cooperation with Stanford University and Zeiss Germany, Prof. Bimber’s team at the JKU Linz (Institute for Computer Graphics) is presenting the first generation of a complex volumetric (three-dimensional) light patterns in an article published in the renowned journal Nature Scientific Reports.

July 1: Erlebe Technik 2016: Robotics Fun for School Students at the JKU

The closing ceremony for the 1st module of "Experience Technology 2016" took place on June 30 at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. 63 school-age kids from six schools in Upper Austria put their skills to the test by taking part in the robotics competition.
