Girls' Day

Since 2005 the Department of Affirmative Action and Polices for Equal Opportunity have organized Girls' Day at the university. The program has been designed to provide girls with insight into various professions and encourage research in technology and engineering.

An initiative by the Office for Women's Affairs in Upper Austria, Girls' Day has been an annual event since 2001. Girls from 3rd/4th classes at HS, NMS, and AHS schools are given a unique opportunity to try their hand at manual and skilled professions.

Girls' Study Day was held for the first time in 2011 for girls in 6th/7th classes at AHS and BMHS schools. Workshops are designed to help girls learn more about various engineering degree programs and prospective professions.
