  • I hereby consent to my personal information, as stated in the application documents, being used in accordance with §1 Data Protection Act, BGBI. No. 193/1978 for the processing of my application and that after selection and if applicable, my name and student ID number may be made public at JKU. I also agree that my name, address, telephone number and/or e-mail address may potentially be disclosed to students interested in exchange programs. Furthermore, I agree that my co-nominees may be informed of my date of birth.
  • While I understand that it is possible to participate in multiple exchange programs, I acknowledge that preference will be given to first-time applicants. In regards to submitting a second application, I understand that scholarships can only be provided based on availability.
  • I understand that I may not extend the period for my stay abroad program.
  • After my nomination to the exchange program has been accepted, I understand that I may only withdraw from the program under certain conditions (illness, pregnancy, family commitments, circumstances beyond my control) and I understand that I must submit corresponding confirmation. I understand that if I were to withdraw from the program for other reasons, I will not be permitted to apply to the JKU exchange program or for a study abroad scholarship at the JKU again.
  • I understand that I must be officially enrolled at the JKU during the time of submitting an application to the end of my stay abroad.
  • According to the European Credit Transfer System, a full workload consists of 60 ECTS credits per academic year (30 ETS credits per semester respectively). I will strive to complete a full workload each semester and attend courses in order to complete at least 20 ECTS credits per semester at the host university (10 ECTS credits when simultaneously working towards a Diploma/Master's degree thesis/dissertation). I understand that I must successfully complete a full workload when studying in Australia, Canada, or the USA.
  • I understand that I will only be allowed to discontinue the exchange program for an important reason (illness, pregnancy, severe circumstances beyond my control) and I must consult with the program coordinator as well as the International Office. In the event of discontinuing the program without a substantial reason to do so, I understand that the JKU reserves the right to revoke any scholarship that was awarded to me. Furthermore, I understand that I will not be permitted to apply to the JKU exchange program or for a study abroad scholarship at the JKU again.
  • I agree to submit a detailed report about my experience abroad to the International Office within two months after the end of my stay abroad so that future students interested in the same program may ask me for information. I agree to participate in various events organized by the International Office.
  • As a student of the JKU and a guest at a foreign university, I agree to conduct myself in a mature and responsible manner. I will not engage in criminal activities and I will not cheat on examinations. Furthermore, I will ensure that the Johannes Kepler University's reputation is not in any way tarnished or damaged due to my conduct. I understand that I am solely responsible for my behaviour.
  • In regards to academic work, I agree to comply with the host university's rules of conduct which also includes not engaging in any form of academic dishonesty pertaining all academic proceedings. I will also not engage in any form of plagiarism during tests or during the preparation of graded papers. In addition to complying with these rules, I understand that I must comply with the host university's rules and regulations. Country-specific peculiarities as well as customs and conditions which might differ from Austrian standards should be respected at all times.
  • As a guest at the host university, I accept any and all consequences resulting from violating any of the various laws, rules or culture-specific customs.
  • In the event that I violate any of these rules or the scholarship conditions, I understand that the JKU reserves the right to deny or revoke the scholarship. A violation of these regulations will also result in barring any future application to study abroad or applying for a study abroad scholarship at the JKU.
