Erasmus Mundus

Die JKU hat das Erasmus Mundus-Projekt GATE koordiniert und ist Partner mehrerer Erasmus Mundus Aktion 2-Projekte.

1.) GATE - knowledGe mAnagement Technology transfer and Education programme

GATE is an Erasmus Mundus mobility project funded by the European Commission (2012 - 2016). It provided 103 scholarships to students at all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD, post-doc researchers and staff) from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, India, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia,Thailand and Vietnam to the European consortium partners. The project objective is to enhance as well as encourage and enable highly qualified graduates and scholars from the partner countries to obtain qualifications in the European Union while contributing to the academic excellence and visibility of their respective home universities.

2.) MAYA-NET - Mobility As keY for quAlity eNhancement of EU and LA univErsiTies

Financed by the European Commission, MAYANET is a scholarship programme for students at the undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral level, as well as for university staff in academic or administrative positions. MayaNET aims to support long-term and reliable relations between EU and LA countries as well as enhance political, cultural, educational, and economic links between the two regions. The programme will develop training and scientific exchanges and result in a strong sustainable contribution to the construction of a global knowledge society. Latin American partners: Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba.

3.) ASSUR - IntegrAted Studies for Syrian and eUropean univeRsities

ASSUR is a scholarship programme for students on undergraduate, master, doctoral and post-doctoral level, as well as for university staff in academic or administrative positions, financed by the European Commission. ASSUR overall objectives are the improvement of mutual understanding and the enhancement of cultural, educational, and economic relations between EU and Syria.

4.) EMP-AIM - Erasmus Mundus Partnership for Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova

EMP-AIM is a Partnership of 17 Universities from European countries, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova. which aims to build a structured and sustainable cooperation between the involved universities and thus to strengthen academic, cultural, economic collaboration between the European and Eastern Europe region countries. Scholarships are available for study, research and professional visits at all mobility levels. The project EMP-AIM is coordinated by Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). (2012 – 2015)

5.) TARGETII - Mobility from Central Asia to Europe

TargetII is an Erasmus Mundus mobility project addressed to citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Scholarships were given to students at all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD, post-doc researchers and academic staff). The programme objective is to promote and transfer the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at higher education level. (2012 – 2015)
