... what are the guidelines in order to reserve rooms for an event?

Event rooms at the Uni Center include the ceremony rooms, lofts, meeting rooms, and the halls located in the Keplergebäude Bldg.

... what guidelines apply in order to reserve rooms for an event?

Rooms for events can be reserved by internal as well as external organizers/companies as long as the event is in the interest of the JKU.

These rooms can generally only be reserved once a day for an event. Therefore renting one of the rooms is subject to a full mandatory one day fee (regardless of whether or not the room is required all day).

Rooms can only be reserved for Sundays or holidays by exception and requires the express written permission by Operations Manager, Mag. Alexander Freischlager.

Submit a room reservation request by phone, sending an e-mail to raumbewirtschaftung(/\t)jku.at, or in person to Event Management, Rm. 007 (connecting corridor).

Please complete a reservation form online when reserving a room for a general event (conference, meeting, presentation, etc.). You will receive a corresponding link per eMail after sending your request.

Processing reservation requests will take approximately one week.

The team at Event Management will do everything possible to best assist in organizing and managing your event.
We ask you allow for an appropropriate period of time to prepare for your event (assign personnel, plan, review technical requirements, etc.). We ask that one week before the scheduled event date to please send an e-mail to raumplanung(/\t)jku.at containing the following information:

... what is the JKU's cancellation policy?

Cancellation Fees:

  • Up to 30 days before the event date – 20% of the room fee will be charged
  • Up to 14 days before the event date – 50% of the room fee will be charged
  • Up to 7 days before the event date – 80% of the room fee will be charged and
  • Up to 6 days before the event, the full amount of the room fee will be charged.

Apply for access authorization using an online reservation form.

... What are the rules and regulations regarding deliveries?

Access for large deliveries is only permitted between 6:00 - 9:00 AM via the Schloss Auhof entrance. All vehicles are requested to leave the car-free campus area after delivery service is completed.

Parking is available in the parking lot at the JKU (fees apply). If you wish to request one or more day tickets, please send an e-mail to Mag. Alexander Freischlager alexander.freischlager(/\t)jku.at to obtain exit tickets.

The campus Mensa, under the management of Mr. Alexander Schedl, has sole privilege and claim to cater campus events.

If you require catering and beverage services, please contact Mr. Alexander Schedl at: 0732/2468-4502, gl.linz(/\t)mensen.at .

Event Management is responsible for room set up, meaning arranging any cocktail tables, buffet tables, etc.
