Professor of Civil Law

Announcement of a Tenured Faculty Opening at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Faculty of Law - University Professor for Civil Law - (permanent employment contract in compliance with the Austrian Universities Act of 2002, §94 para. 2 subpara. 1UG)

The Faculty of Law at the Johannes Kepler University is inviting applications for the privately employed position of
Professor of Civil Law
to begin immediately. The appointment will be carried out in accordance with § 98 of the Universities Act. An evaluation will take place after an initial four-year period.

The successful candidate will be expected to represent and further develop the subject area in teaching and research.

Applicants for the position must have a doctorate and post-doctorate (venia docendi) degree (or comparable post-doctorate qualifications) in the field of Civil Law..

A salary above the minimum amount as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered. Depending on the current position (present salary) the annual gross salary will be between €70,000 to € 90,000 (minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement plus voluntary additional payments).
