Professorship in Business Administration, focus on Production and Logistics Management

In compliance with § 99 of Austrian Universities Act, the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business at the Johannes Kepler University Linz is announcing a faculty opening for a Substitute Professor of Business Administration, focus on Production and Logistics Management

The Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz invites applications for a tenured employment position as a

focus on Production and Logistics Management


to begin immediately. The appointment will be accordance with § 98 of the Universities Act. An evaluation will follow after a four-year period.

The successful candidate will be expected to represent and further develop teaching and research in Business Administration with a focus on Production and Logistics Management. The successful candidate should be in a position to equally cover both areas of “Production Management” and “Logistics Management”. The successful candidate should focus mainly on the strategic, tactical, and operative planning issues in the area of “Production Management” and “Logistics Management”. In addition, disciplines such as supply chain management and other areas of business administration should be included.

Applicants for the position must have a post-doctorate (venia docendi) degree (or comparable post-doctorate qualifications) in the field above.

A salary above the minimum amount as stated in the collective agreement will be voluntarily offered. Depending on the current position (present salary) the annual gross salary will be between €80,000 to € 100,000 (minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement plus voluntary additional payments).
