Companies

University employees and alumni have created numerous companies, making undeniably important contributions to strengthening the state's economy. As an example, here are a few select companies associated with the JKU:

FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology Ltd.

Established in 2006 by Dr. Paolo Ferrara (former employee at the Institute of Robotics) and Dr. Ronald Naderer, FerRobotics is the only global provider of sensitive standard equipment - such as the active contact flange ACF - for heavy manual labor tasks such as grinding or polishing. Individual applications for variable or delicate tasks include problematic automation gaps and ensuring high quality of standards for various areas including medical technology. Technology-conscious users have been satisfied with the semi-natural high-performance and accurate data analysis. Customers include CE MAP, BMW, Volkswagen, AUDI, Mercedes, etc.

isiQuiri interface technologies Ltd.

isiQiri interface technologies Ltd. is a spin-off company established by the Institute of Soft Matter Physics (SoMaP) and the Linz Institute for Organic Solar Cells (LIOS). Dr. Robert Koeppe and Dr. Richard Ebner created the company in 2009 in order to put products for computer input devices (based on new photodetector technology) on the market. In 2014, a majority stake of isiQiri was acquired by Mr. Walter Sticht and the company now focuses on applications in the fields of human-computer interaction in the manufacturing industry.

MathConsult Ltd.

MathConsult Ltd. is a research company in the field of industrial and business mathematics created by Prof. Heinz W. Engl (at the time he was head of the Institute of Industrial Mathematics and he is currently the Rector of the University of Vienna) in 1996. Twenty employees currently work on mathematical solutions for both the manufacturing industry and the financial industry.
