REGISTRATION AND FEES

SUMMER SEMESTER 2017
Begin: March 1 - End: June 30

Order of Registration:
Courses offered by the University SPORTS Institute are generally open to all adults. First preference will be given to university affiliated persons in accordance with our priority service policy:

Beginning February 13: persons officially affliated with the university (at least 17 years of age) from universities, universities of applied sciences and paedagogic universities
Beginning February 20: university alumni and Matura class school students.
Beginning February 27: allocation of all available spots - open to all (must be of legal age)
 
Registration and USI Office Hours:
Course registration will take place ONLINE or at the USI Office, Julius-Raab-Str. 10. Please bring your student ID card or a photo ID, along with the course fee to be paid in cash.
Beginning February 13, as well as beginning February 20 and February 27 (see order of registration regulations above)
to March 17: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, as well as Monday and Wednesday, 2:30 – 6:00 PM
after March 17: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, as well as Monday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM

Participants must register for courses before the course officially begins. Class participation cards are non-transferable and must be presented to the course instructor upon demand .
Some course instructors allow prospective participants to sample a class session before enrolling in the course. Participants are asked to first consult with the course instructor on whether or not sampling is permitted.
Participants have until March 17 to change or drop classes (in person or by phone).
If you drop a course, the fee will not be refunded.

FEES FOR ONE SEMESTER PER CLASS

There are three prices for each course (tariff 1 / tariff 2 / tariff 3). See below to find the price that applies to you.

Tariff 1: (primarily € 14 - more time-consuming classes: 18 € - or infrequent special fee)

Fees apply to students under the age of 30 enrolled in Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, teacher training colleges, as well as faculty & staff at the JKU, the University of Art and Design Linz, and secondary level Matura classes.

Tariff 2: (primarily € 21 - more time-consuming classes: € 27 - or infrequent special fee)

Fees apply to all university students age 30+ enrolled at Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, teacher training colleges as well as faculty & staff at the JKU and the University of Art and Design Linz.

Tariff 3: (primarily: € 28 - more time-consuming classes: € 36 - or infrequent special fee)

Applies to everyone else.

The tariffs cover the course participation fee for the entire semester.

Aside from blocked courses, courses generally consist of 10 sessions per semester whereas some courses may be 15 sessions per semester. If participants drop out or withdraw from course sessions during this period, there is no aliquot refund of fees.
If the course is cancelled due to a low number of participants, fees will be refunded.
