Mobility Funding for Researchers

Euraxess - Researchers in Motion

EURAXESS is a Europe-wide network for information and assistance to all international researchers seeking advice relating to relocation (for research stays) across borders.
In addition to information, so-called "Service Centers" (in Austria it is the ÖAD and FFG) provide support services to address questions regarding legal, cultural, and administrative issues in order to help organize a research stay abroad. See: for up-to-date information about a research stay in Austria.
The site also includes a list of research job vacancies (EURAXESS-Jobs). Those interested can check EURAXESS for job listings (incl. information about grants, scholarships and funding) as well as contact scientists throughout Europe who are also looking for a position.
EURAXESS Rights (European Charta and Code for Researchers) provides information on rights and working conditions for researchers and their employees.

ÖFG - Austrian Research Society

Prof. Karlheinz Töchterle has been the President of the Austrian Research Society (ÖFG) since January 2016. The Austrian Research Society is financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy as well as all nine federal provinces. Since 2014, Univ.Prof. i.R. Erich Peter Klement has represented the Upper Austrian government in the Austrian Research Society committee. Univ. Prof. Bernhard Jakoby is a member of the Scientific Council.
The Austrian research community provides support services for junior researchers in particular.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) - in H2020

The new European Research Framework Programme began in 2014. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie program aims to provide strong support for European researchers in all scientific disciplines.
Europe should become a better "open labor market for researchers". The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions serve to support education, career development, transnational and intersectoral mobility.

PEOPLE – Funding Researcher Mobility in the 7th EU Framework Program (FP7)

There is special aspect in the area of mobility funding for the EU program PEOPLE as former “Marie Curie” activities will continue in the FP7 program. The program is aimed at individual researchers as well as research organizations and companies with international projects. Between 2007 to 2013, approximately 4.75 billion Euros will be available (compared to “just” 1.6 billion for FP6).
Important: Funding after graduation + no age limit + select a topic according to your research interest.
