Information Technology

Information Technology (Engineering and Informatics)

Computers are a part of our everyday lives. As an information technologist, you will be the person to tell computers what to do. You will develop computer programs that you have written yourself. You will also create and install database applications as well as hardware and software. In addition, you will help employees when they have computer problems. Depending on your interests and talents, you can also be trained as a computer scientist or information technician at the JKU.

What you need: Organizational skills and technical knowledge are required to become an Information Technologist.
A strong understanding of mathematics and logical thinking skills will also help you successfully develop programs. If you are also a bit creative and have good aptitudes, nothing can stand in the way of completing this apprenticeship!

Apprenticeship Period: 3.5 years
