The pre-registration process at the Johannes Kepler University Linz serves to acquire information online in advance from applicants who wish to pursue an academic degree at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and who wish to enroll at the Johannes Kepler University for the first time. By using the online pre-registration system at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the user acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:
By requesting a confirmation code and subsequently sending the entered information, the user confirms that all information entered is correct and complete, including the submitted e-Mail address (which is to remain active during the entire admissions process). The JKU will send all information during the pre-registration and admissions process to the e-mail address provided by the user.
By entering an e-mail address, the user agrees that individual organizational units at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, university staff, and members of the Austrian Student Union at the Johannes Kepler University Linz may send electronic messages to the e-mail address provided by the user.
In compliance with data protection laws and regulations in Austria and conditions stipulated under the Universities Act 2002 and University Studies Evidence Laws 2004, the information provided to the university by the user will be used solely for the purpose intended. The Johannes Kepler University Linz is legally prohibited from releasing any data to a third party unless required by law to do so.
Following the completion of enrollment procedures at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, a photograph will be taken – or a photograph used submitted in advance by the user – to issue a KeplerCard (student ID card). The user agrees that this photograph may be used for additional platforms at the Johannes Kepler University (such as Moodle, MUSSS).
The user agrees to keep his/her log in information confidential and not provide this information to a third party. The user agrees to manage this information personally.
Salvatory clause: provided individual items are cancelled, the remaining items retain their validity.
