Where Can I Find Additional Support Services?

Student Information and Advising Services (SIBS)

The Student Information and Advising Services is a student support service provided by the Johannes Kepler University. New students can contact the staff for information on general questions regarding academic studies, advising students on how to best organize a program of study and addressing any other questions or concerns students may have.

The KUSSS Support Office is a division of the Department of Studies Information and Academic Advising.
KUSSS (Kepler University Study Support System) is the university's course registration system where students can register for courses, add or drop courses, register for examinations, view grades, access information forums and much more. Access KUSSS at: www.kusss.jku.at

Austrian Student Union

The Austrian Student Union is a legally appointed association representing students and their interests.

The Austrian Student Union represents student interests both on and off campus, providing a voice to issues and matters pertaining to students.

Areas of responsibility include potential problems regarding courses and instructors, examinations, unfair examinations and/or grading, addressing matters of too little capacity in courses and the allocation of course spots, and organizational and structural deficiencies in teaching. In addition, the Austrian Student Union will answer any questions and concerns students may have in regards to studying in Linz.

Student representatives can also answer specific questions in regards to degree programs and the current curricula. You can find additional information, office hours, and contact information on the JKU Austrian Student Union homepage.

Admission Services

The Office of Admissions is responsible for the enrollment of Austrian and international students, independent studies, registration to continue studies, the university eligibility examination, verifications and inquiries, tuition fees, nostrification process, and merit and financial aid scholarships.

Examination and Recognition Services

The office of Examination and Recognition Services is responsible for many areas, including processing and issuing grade reports, examination registration and credit transfer and recognition of previous work performed
