  • English Language Degree Programs

    Here you will find an overview of all academic degree programs taught in English at the Johannes Kepler University. The Johannes Kepler University Linz currently offers 2 Bachelor's degree programs, 16 Master's degree programs and 1 Ph.D. program in English.

  • Admission for Degree-Seeking Students

    To be admitted as a student to JKU Linz, you must fulfill the admission requirements laid down in the Universities Act 2002 (Universitätsgesetz 2002) as amended. In this section, you will find information on the requirements and necessary documents for the individual programs.

  • German Language Courses at the JKU Linz

    Evidence of sufficient German skills must be provided before one can begin a German language course of study at the Johannes Kepler Universität. Proof of the level B2+ (which lies between levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is accepted. Courses are offered from the levels A1 to C1 at the Johannes Kepler University.

  • Visa and Residence Regulations

    For students from the European Economic Area (EU and EFTA countries) and Switzerland there are no specific requirements to enter Austria. A valid passport is sufficient to enter Austria. For students from non-European Union or European Free Trade Association countries, an entry or residence permit for entry into and residence in Austria is required. The type of permit depends on the length of your stay.

  • Exchange Students

    To be eligible to enroll at JKU as an official exchange student for either one semester, an academic year or even longer, you will need an official nomination issued by the international program coordinator at your home university, based on a formal exchange agreement between the JKU and your home university.
