Bachelor's Degree Diplomas
Copies of degree diplomas and the transcripts must be sent by the student's home university or submitted in photocopy and certified by a notary (public). Translations must be sent by the applicant's home university or be translated by an official translator.
Applicants to the Master's degree programme are required to submit a copy of his/her Bachelor's degree diploma with the application.
A diploma is a document issued by an academic institution to a student who has successfully completed all requirements for an academic degree programme and can graduate. The diploma should include the name of the degree awarding institution, the date of issue, to whom the degree certificate has been issued, and which title/degree the person has been awarded.
A temporary diploma is a document issued by an academic institution to a student who has successfully completed all studies included in the degree and can then graduate. The provisional degree certificate is issued as a replacement for the actual degree certificate, e.g., in case that the actual degree certificate cannot be given to the student immediately after his/her studies have been completed due to technical or administrative reasons. The provisional degree certificate should include the name of the degree awarding institution, the date of issue, to whom the degree certificate has been issued and which title/degree the person has been awarded.

Late Bachelor's Degrees
If you do not obtain your Bachelor's Degree by the application deadline, please enclose a statement of forthcoming degree signed by an appropriate official at your university. After graduation, an attested copy of your degree certificate must be submitted to the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Department of Social Policy and Politics according to the instructions below.

Applicants who Graduate After the Application Deadline but Before Admission Results are Announced
Applicants who will graduate with a Bachelor's degree by in February-May 2014 (meaning after the application deadline but before admission results are announced), are requested to send the attested and officially translated copies of their degree diploma and final transcript directly to the Johannes Kepler University Linz to the following address:

Applicants who Receive Conditional Acceptance to Johannes Kepler University Linz Before Graduation
Applicants accepted to the programme and expected to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in May or later may be accepted to the programme on the condition that they send an attested and officially translated copy of his/her diploma to the Johannes Kepler University Linz by mid-July (date to be announced). Instructions on how to submit a copy of the diploma will be sent in May.
