Applicants to the programme must possess a strong command of English. A C1 level is required in accordance to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language.
Proof of language proficiency in English can be demonstrated by submitting a copy of language course certificate/s (level C1) as well as TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge Certificate scores. We accept tests with the following scores:
TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language; 90/Internet-based, 575/paper-based
IELTS Academic, International English Language Testing System; 6.5 with no individual score below 5.5
Cambridge Certificate (Advanced Level)
Language course certificate/s issued by an European university (C1 or C2 level)
We also accept secondary edudation or Bachelor degree certificates issued by following counties: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.
Submitting Test Scores
Language test scores must be sent to the Johannes Kepler University by the application deadline. The applicant is responsible for making all testing arrangements well in advance.
Please be aware that it may take several weeks for the testing organisation to send out the results. Your application will not be processed unless your test score is available. The test scores are valid for a two year period.
Please sign your test score (original or in copy) with your application documents.
TOEFL language test results can be sent directly to Johannes Kepler University by the testing organization. When filling out the TOEFL Registration Form, please enter Johannes Kepler University in the Score Report Recipient field.
If you have taken IELTS Academic, a copy of the test score will be accepted. When requesting the test centre to send your results to receiving institutions, enter "Johannes Kepler University, Department of Social Policy and Politics, Angela Wegscheider" as the receiver.
