Project description
The aim of this project is to elaborate novel digital signal processing techniques for the digital front-end in frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar transceivers. Specifically leakage cancelation concepts are aspired that compensate for non-idealities.
For instance, automotive FMCW radar systems suffer from permanent leakage originated from signal reflections from the bumper. Mainly due to the phase impurity of the transmitted sinusoidal waves the target detection sensitivity is severely degraded. A leakage cancelation concept is currently evaluated that compensates for this phenomena. (FoDok)
