Project description
Pneumatic tire vibrations tracking can be utelized to detect any changes in tire pressure using indirect methodology. We recrod a sequence of speed sensor signal and process it using digital signal processing techniques to reduce nose floor in the spectrum in order to identify the radial vibration of the tire. These vibrations are directly effected by the air pressure in the tire. As the pressure inside the tire cavity drops down, its vetical stiffness changes accordingly and vibration spectrum shift in lower frequency band. Signal processing methods are utelized to improve speed sensor signal for this kind of application. Apart from this, an added insight into the pneumatic tire vibrations is possible as direct measurements of vibrations is normally very difficult.
