Brief comments on particular developments (perspectives)
This projected allowed for the completion of two PhD dissertations and one additional one in progress. This project also supported a post doctoral researcher and the resulting publications will benefit his interests in perusing an academic careers.

Special possibilities opened up by the project (e.g. high-risk topics, intensification of transdisciplinary research etc.).
The proposed work opened several possibilities. First and foremost, this project is the predecessor of another FWF project of roughly the same volume for investigating the role of inconsistencies with the added dimension of consistent change propagation. This new project started in 2013. Furthermore, two EU projects are currently under submission, both in the software services domain, where our contribution is directly based on the method developed under this work. While a funding decision has not been made yet, it underlines that other academic and industrial institutions regard this technology as a vital component to affect engineering – in these cases to ensure the consistency of the various descriptions that make up software services and the ability to repair services of changes causes inconsistencies among them. Finally, two industrial cooperation were the direct result of this work.

Effects of the project and of research performed in the framework of the project on the international reputation of the project leader and co-workers
The reputation of the researches funded under this work (and with it the reputation of the host university JKU and the funding agency FWF) benefited strongly. Over 20 papers were published as the result of this proposed work – all of them in highly reputable conferences and journals. The international ranking of the PI increased considerably in the last few year while working on this project. According to and Microsoft Academic Search, the PI ranks around the Top 100 scholars in the world in software engineering research. Also, the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) now ranks around the Top 50 research institutions in software engineering in the world. Several papers were selected as best papers or best-of papers in COMPSAC, MoDELS, and ICMT.
