Prix Amadeus
The bilateral (France-Austria) collaboration project "Effects of chemical exchange on NMR spectra at high nuclear spin polarisation" coordinated by Hervé Desvaux and Norbert Müller has been awarded the WTZ Amadée Award 2013 (Prix PHC Amadeus 2013) jointly by the BMWFa (through ÖAD) and the Institut Francais in Vienna.

At a celebration event in Ceske Budejovice (Budweis, CZ) the Institute of Organic Chemistry was awarded the Cross Border Award 2012 for the collaborative research and teaching projects with the University of South Bohemia by WKO and "Grenzüberschreitende Technologieplattform Oberösterreich-Niederbayern-Südböhmen".

DI Richard Herchl was awarded the "Förderungspreis für Chemie" of the Austrian Chemical Society (GÖCH) for his diploma thesis on "Ammonium ylide mediated epoxidations" at the Austrian Chemistry Days in Linz.

[2010/02/05] During the course of his dissertation at the Institute of Organic Chemistry (under the supervision of Prof. Norbert Müller - Institute of Organic Chemistry and Dr. Wolfgang Schöfberger - Institute for Inorganic Chemistry), JKU graduate Dr. Martin Häubl discovered that the addition of gold complexes can alter tumor cells.
