IMPORTANT

Clarification of the information about the registration at SBU in Budweis for 1st year students . It is not possible to register anytime during the first year of your study outside the given period in September. If you cannot join the bus trip on 25.9., you have to arrange a separate date and go to Budweis on your own, but not later than at the end of September. Students of Biological Chemistry are regular full time students of both universities and if you don't register at SBU at the beginning of your study, you may not be able to spend there your second year. Students who cannot make it within the mentioned period due to the delay with visa should contact Adriana Rathner (adriana.rathner@gmail.com) as soon as possible.

September 10, 2015

IMPORTANT
Concerning the resgistration at USB in Budweis on Friday, 25. 9. 2015: The bus will leave from the entrance to Science Park at 7:30. Please be there at least 15 min. before to ease the organization. For more information, see the link.

Symposium in Linz

on Monday, 5. 10. there will be a symposium for students and professors of Biological Chemistry curriculum which will take place at JKU in Linz. The aim is to present all chemistry and biophysics institutes from Linz and to find even more cooperation possibilities with the University of South Bohemia. We also expect visit of professors from Budweis. During the day there will be presentations of each chemistry institute and in the early evening we will have a get-together "party" with food and beverages.
There will be two sessions of presentations, one in the morning and the second one in the afternoon which will be followed by a small barbecue.

We would like to invite students of the third year of bachelor curriculum as well as master students of Biological Chemistry. Since we have to organize the event, we ask everyone who wants to come to this symposium (and the later barbecue) to confirm their attendance until Friday, 18. 9. by sending a note to adriana.rathner@gmail.com.

The exact schedule will be published here later, please check for updates.

To all Biological Chemistry students (except 1st year)

Don't forget to have your index book checked in Budweis and register for another semester even though you will spend the upcoming semester in Linz. Failing to do so will lead to the termination of your study. Dates for the registration procedure are 7. 9. - 24. 9. 2015 and are divided by your surname. Details can be found here. If you are not able to come on the given day, contact Mrs. Kaftanova (kaftanova@prf.jcu.cz) to schedule another possible date, but do it before the registration period ends.

If you are going to spend the next semester in Budweis, don't forget to pay the ÖH Beitrag - it needs to be paid for every semester you are a JKU student even though you are officially abroad.

To all new students of Biological Chemistry (bachelor and master curriculum)

The section about registration procedures on JKU and USB has been updated. Please don't forget that every new student (bachelor or master) needs to be registered at both universities from the beginning of the study.

May 12, 2015: The time table for the second semester has been updated.

To all students who plan to spend the next academic year at the university of Budweis:

There will be an informational meeting held by International office on 15. 4. 2015, 12:00 - 13:00 in HS12. You will learn what prerequisite you have to fulfill to be eligible for a scholarship and other information needed for your stay in Budweis. Prof. Müller will be present to answer your questions as well.

To all finished bachelor students:

If you continue to study master programme in Biological Chemistry, please switch your student curriculum in KUSSS as soon as possible. Otherwise you are officially not allowed to take exams from master subjects in the period when you passed the bachelor state exam and still are not enrolled for the master studies. For the recognition of the state exam at the study department of JKU you need ideally diploma (but this can take few weeks) or at least "Summary of student data" from Budweis.
