06/2016 MGB - Troika: Company Presentations

Students enrolled in this year’s Joint Master’s Degree program in Global Business – Troika completed the program’s international year in Bergamo (Italy) on May 31, 2016.

Organized by the Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria), the University of Bergamo (Italy) and the Higher School of Economics in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), and supported by the Federal of Austrian Industrialists in Upper Austria, the joint graduate degree program “Troika” gives business students a unique opportunity to spend three months studying in Russia, three months in Italy, and three months in Austria.

Just as with the parallel ACT program, one of the many program highlights includes company projects carried out in cooperation with internationally active companies. Partner companies this year included SIDA, Alpetrans and Schneider Electric. Students worked together in multinational teams analyzing European market trends, consumer demand in the food and beverage industry, and worked on developing logistical strategies for companies. The project presentations took place at the end of the program in Bergamo in front of company representatives, university professors, and guests from partner universities. Students in the Troika program and the partner companies benefitted greatly from the project results. The companies received well prepared findings and valuable strategic insight and students acquired unique, real-world insight into international business and were also able to make valuable contacts with these companies.
