Logics pf pharmacy
Institutional Logics and Identities in Community Pharmacy & in Pharmacy Distribution
How are organizational and professional identities constructed? What drives institutional change in a complex industry such as pharmacy? We challenge and refine the theory of institutional logics by considering the institutional work necessary to bind logics together in different places and in different times. We study both community pharmacy in four countries and pharmacy distribution in Italy.
Methods: historical study in one case & interviews with pharmacists and middle and top managers of distribution firms in the second case, plus direct observation & longitudinal discourse analysis
Products: presentations at the Academy of Management, at EGOS, Ca’Foscari and SCANCOR-Stanford
