Field Trip to Traunkirchen

A group of Johannes Kepler University students from all over the world - Norway, Congo, Colombia, VietnamCzech Republic - and many more - explored the Inner Salzkammergut with their German teacher Regina Hofstadler-Lienerbrünn.

On Thursday, May 28, 2015, they travelled by bus from Linz to sunny Traunkirchen.

Once they arrived at the electric boat rental station from Mr and Ms Loidl they received a little map from lake Traunsee. After a short instruction for the skippers the group took off to explore this beautiful area with gentle pace.

After half an hour passing the foot of the mountain from the legendary Giant Erla (the students read his love story with the little blond mermaide during class) all students returned safely to the shore.

A beautiful day with sunshine, sparkling water, happy faces and a few words with the residents of Traunkirchen at the lake ended.

We gratefully acknowledge the Raiffeisenbank Salzkammergut's and the Kepler Fund 's contribution to finance our travel expenses!
