German Immersion Course - For Students in master degree programmes

Beschreibung: The German Immersion Course is an intensive and demanding full time course (30 ECTS-Credits/ semester, 14 hours of teaching per week) and is held over two semesters. It ends at level B2+ and is credited as “Ergänzungsprüfung Deutsch”.

The full-time course will take place over a period of 2 semesters (1st semester A1/A2, 2nd semester B1/B2+) and begins in October 2017, allowing students to attain the B2+ level in German within 2 semesters.

Who can do this?
The course is for highly motivated students who have an admission to a Master’s degree program at JKU and who wish to learn German intensively

1) to speed-up the start of their studies in a German-language degree program at JKU

2) to increase job prospects in Upper Austria after graduating from an English-language Master’s degree program.

General Conditions
1) Admission to a Master’s program at JKU is required.

2) All students are charged the mandatory tuition fees plus the course fee of €250 per semester.
The fees have to be paid at the beginning of each semester.

3) If you pass 30 ECTS within the first 2 terms of your regular study program, 50% of the course fee will be reimbursed.

4) The course is an intensive and demanding full-time course (30 ECTS/semester; 14 hours of teaching per week); 100% attendance is needed from the beginning. It requires intensive effort by students in order to obtain a B2+-level within two semesters only and we suggest that you take no more than 2 additional courses from your master program

5) Successful completion of the course will be accepted by JKU as equivalent to the “Ergänzungsprüfung Deutsch”.
