Einladung Tag der Linzer Hochschulen

In relation to the guiding theme "This far and no further? Privacy in the age of digitalization and home office. Prof.in Dr.in Krumay will talk about the possibility of performing professional tasks, which are normally done in the office or company, in the home office. The Institute for Business Informatics - Information Engineering conducts research in the field of digitalization under the direction of Prof.in Dr.in Krumay, head of the institute, and deals with the use of new technologies and their effects on people, organizations and society. The advancing penetration of all areas of life with digital technologies opens up many exciting topics here, with a view to the potential arising from digitization that can be used for the benefit of all. For most, this is a pleasant and convenient solution. However, it also creates new challenges, especially with regard to one's own privacy. While in the office or company you are on neutral territory, so to speak (since the environment was deliberately created for everyone), video conferencing allows you a glimpse into a very private world. But where does one draw the line? How much privacy does one need in the age of digitalization and home offices? These questions and current research results from the field of digitalization will be discussed in the lecture.

We are looking forward to a lively participation!
