College Sports at the JKU.

Do you study at the JKU? Then you are part of the JKU Astros!

The JKU will be taking on Vienna! Our football team, basketball team, and cheerleading squad are giving Vienna's universities a run for their money!

JKU Astros gamedays are undoubtedly a high point of university life; the atmosphere is both unparalleled and energetic, something that each JKU student ought to experience at least once for themselves!

The JKU Astros celebrated their grand entry to the league in 2022 with a big bang, joining the Austrian College Sports League with a men's basketball team, a women's basketball team, and a cheerleading squad: the only university outside of Vienna taking part! The league had no idea what hit them! During the Astros' first season, the teams gave the league a proper shake-up and the JKU Astros women's team became the 2023 ACSL Champions!

JKU ASTROS Basketball celebrating

The Astros American football team has embarked on an exciting journey as part of the league, recently winning their first test game at zero and dominating the field.
They will officially debut in Vienna on October 26 so get ready for lift-off!

The JKU Astros is a community with space for everyone and where everyone can do their part to make the team a success! Each and every person - be it a sports fan or bystander - can play a role!
If you're interested in being a part of it all, there are volunteer opportunities to help organize events or assist on game days, etc. We welcome as many helping hands as possible!

Become a part of our team - whether as a player, fan, or volunteer - and experience the fascinating world of sports and our university to the fullest!
