UAM Roundnet (Spikeball) - A New Event at the JKU

The USI Linz has succeeded in bringing the first ever UAM (Unisport Austria Championship) event in Roundnet - also known as Spikeball - to Linz! The UAM is a student state championship tournament that will take place on at the soccer pitch on campus on Friday, May 19th, 2023.

Der Trendsport Roundnet ist angehaucht vom Beachvolleyball und vereint Spielwitz, Fairplay, Koordination und Ballgefühl.

Roundnet is a popular sport that plays out similarly to volleyball, except you hit the ball off of the net instead of over it. 

Two teams of two players each play against each other.

A university team is made up of a maximum of 6 players (a minimum of two men and two women, but no more than three men and women).

Each university (USI) can enter two university/college teams to play in the UAM. A tournament grid of a maximum of 16 teams is planned. If there are fewer entries, universities may enter more than two teams.
