Students and Employees at Austrian Universities:
Access the USI reservation system using the ACOnet Identity Federation (eduID.at) associated with your Austrian university account.

Non-university affiliated guests:
As non-university affiliated guest, please intially register and create a new user account. The USI Office will review the submitted information and USI staff will manually activate your account. Once your account is activated, you can sign up for the courses you are interested in as part of the USI course program and pay the fee online.

Courses offered by the USI at the JKU are generally open to all adults. First preference will be given to university-affiliated persons as follows:

Summer Semester 2024

• Courses begin on Monday, March 4, 2024
• Courses end on Friday, June 28, 2024

In addition to public holidays, there are no classes as follows:

• Easter Break: March 25, 2024, to April 6, 2024

You can pay the course fee online, opens an external URL in a new window ONLY by credit card or e-bank transfer. The USI's office hours are available in the info box (top right).

Additional Important Information:

• Participants must register for courses BEFORE the course officially begins. Class participation cards are non-transferable.
• Participants have until March 15 ONLY (Summer Semester 2024) to change a class. Notify us in writing by sending an e-mail to usi(at)jku.at.
• Dropping a course and applying for a refund (or online credit) for fees can be accepted ONLY if accompanied by a doctor's certificate.

There are three prices for each course (Tariff 1 / Tariff 2 / Tariff 3):
The rates are calculated according to time, course content, the number of instructors, sports facility rental costs, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Courses with special conditions are subject to special rates.

Those who have any impairments or disabilities are eligible for 50% off of the course rate. Please come to the USI office to book the course in person.

Tariff 1:

• Degree-seeking students from Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences under age 30,
• Employees from the JKU or the Linz University of Art & Design under the age of 30
• Students in secondary-level Matura classes

Tariff 2:

• Degree-seeking students from Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences age 30+
• Employees at the JKU or the Linz University of Art & Design age 30+

Tariff 3:

• Applies to all others (i.e. alumni, those not affiliated with the university, students from other international universities)

PLEASE NOTE: By registering and paying for a course, you accept the terms and conditions regarding cancellation!

The tariffs cover the course participation fee for the entire semester. The number of dates is limited for shorter courses.

Canceling up to one-third (33%) of the scheduled course dates does not involve an aliquot refund of fees. If a course must be canceled on account low enrollment, for example, the course fees will be refunded.
