Students and Employees at Austrian Universities:
Access the USI reservation system using the ACOnet Identity Federation (eduID.at) associated with your Austrian university account.

Non-University Guests:
As non-university guest, please initially register and create a new user account. The USI Office will review the submitted information and USI staff will manually activate your account.
Once your account is activated, you can sign up for the courses you are interested in as part of the USI course program and pay the fee online..

Courses offered by the USI at the JKU are generally open to all adults. First preference will be given to university-affiliated persons as follows:

Summer Semester 2025

• USI courses begin on Monday, March 3, 2025
• USI courses end on Monday, June 30, 2025

In addition to public holidays, there are no USI classes as follows:
(selected courses can also take place on these dates - note the dates)

• Easter break: April 14 - 27, 2025
• Thuesday, June 10, 2025 (Pentecost)
• Friday, June 20, 2025 (Rector´s day)

You can pay the course fee online, opens an external URL in a new window ONLY by credit card, EPS online banking, or by ATM card at the USI office. The USI's office hours are in the info box (top right).

There are three prices for each course (Tariff 1 / Tariff 2 / Tariff 3):
The rates are calculated according to time, course content, the number of instructors, sports facility rental costs, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Courses subject to special conditions (higher room fees or a low number of maximum participants) are subject to special rates.

Those who have any impairments or disabilities are eligible for 50% off of the course rate. Please come to the USI office to sign up for the course in person.

Information about the fee that applies to you is as follows:
Tariff 1: 

• Degree-seeking students at Austrian universities and at universities of applied sciences,
• Students in secondary-level Matura classes

Tariff 2:

• Employees at the JKU, PH OÖ, IT:U or the Linz University of Art & Design

Tariff 3:

• Applies to all others (i.e. alumni, those not affiliated with the university, students from other international universities)

The tariffs cover the course participation fee for the entire semester. The number of dates is limited for shorter courses.

Canceling up to one-third (33%) of the scheduled course dates does not involve an aliquot refund of fees. If a course must be canceled on account low enrollment, for example, the course fees will be refunded.
