The Centre for Distance Studies in Bregenz is 40 - A Reason to Celebrate!

The Centre for Distance Studies in Bregenz celebrated its 40th anniversary on June 30, 2022!

For over 40 years, the Centre for Distance Studies in Bregenz has been successfully supporting university education in Vorarlberg and in the Lake Constance region.

 

Together with the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), opens in new window and its long-standing cooperation partner, the FernUniversität in Hagen, opens an external URL in a new window,  the Centre ensures a flexible and, above all, future-oriented range of academic degree programs.

On Thursday, June 30, 2022, The Centre celebrated its anniversary at the impressive Vorarlberg Museum in Bregenz. 125 invited guests, including students, alumni, co-workers, representatives from Rectorates at the universities in Linz and Hagen, along with local government representatives, representatives from educational institutions and the local business community, enjoyed a great atmosphere and an interesting program of events.

One of the highlights of the evening was the keynote speech by Univ. Prof. Dr. Martina Mara, professor of Robot Psychology at the JKU Linz, opens an external URL in a new window, on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence".

The Bregenz team would like to thank all of the guests for taking part and looks forward to assisting all distance learning students in the region for many years to come!
