If you wish to enroll in a German-language degree program and German is not your first language, you must provide proof of language proficiency in German.
For admission to certain academic degree programs, degree-seeking applicants must show proof of a certain level of language proficiency. For admission to German taught academic degree programs, degree-seeking applicants must at point of applying show proof of German language proficiency at level A2.* The certificates/diplomas accepted by the JKU as proof of language proficiency are listed below.
As part of a university preparation program at the JKU, you can attend a German language learning course.
The language certificate(s) may not be older than 2 years at the time of application.
*Language proficiency will be assessed in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
