You may only take part in the graduation ceremony once you have official status as a graduate at the time of registration (please contact the Office of Examinations & Recognition Services in this matter).
Please attach or upload the payment document (*.pdf, *.jpg or *.tif, max. 2 MB) to the registration form.
If you have successfully registered, you will receive an e-mail containing a confirmation and detailed information.
Are you celebrating having earned more than one degree? Please sign up with each of your degrees and indicate the number of your degrees in the "Notes" field. The administrative fee must only be paid once.
If you cannot take part in the graduation ceremony and must cancel once you have registered - or you are prevented from being able to take part - the administrative fee of €49 will not be refunded.
The registration form is only available and visible during the registration period.
Parking is available at the university parking lots and regular fees apply.
You will receive a written invitation via e-mail containing information about the graduation ceremony and schedule approximately two weeks before the ceremony.
You can purchase a graduation cap as part of the commencement ceremony. You can submit your order at any time by sending an e-mail to akademischefeier@jku.at.
Animals are not permitted at the event. Exception: Assistance animals (such as guide dogs for the blind, or assistance dogs).
The number of guests will be determined in regard to the current safety protocols and mandates in lieu of the current situation regarding the Coronavirus. In order to fulfill the requirements on site, each guest will be required to register. We require each guest's first name, last name, and e-mail address in the event he/she must be contacted.Those not registered for the ceremony by name will not be admitted to the ceremony. All of the registration information will be deleted 2 weeks after the event.
Prior to the ceremony and a timely manner, you will receive an e-mail regarding the safety protocols and mandates in lieu of the Coronavirus pandemic. In accordance with the current mask mandate, when indoors, everyone is required to wear an FFP2 (KN-95) face mask or a comparable face covering (JKU Rules & Regulations).
Following the ceremony, a photographer will be on site to take individual portrait photos and family photos.
On account of the situation in lieu of the Coronavirus pandemic, we may have to cancel scheduled graduation ceremonies at short notice.
