Before submitting an application for credit transfer in accordance with § 78 of the Austrian Universities Act, contact the person responsible for credit transfer in your subject area (recognition president) to consult with him/her first. Afterwards, you can contact the Office of Examinations and Recognition Services to obtain a credit transfer application form (anerkennung-tn(at)jku.at). Once you have completed the application form, submit the form to the Office of Examinations and Recognition Services by e-mail or in person. Please include all of the required documents. Please note the excluded fields of study (see exception).

Please note: Always submit the application, documents and attachments together. If you took examinations at external educational institutions, submit the documents (in the original and in copies) to the Office of Examinations and Recognition Services or send them using postal mai services. Any digitally signed documents can be attached to the application electonically or printed out.

The Office of Examinations and Recognition Services can only obtain the authorized signatur providing the application has been submitted formally in full and is correct.

Please note that if you change majors and would like to have autonomous coursework from your previous major count toward autonomous coursework requirements in the major you are currently enrolled in, you do not have to submit a credit transfer application.
