Merit Scholarships.

Merit scholarships are awarded in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.

A merit scholarship may not be less than € 750 but not exceed € 1,500 for two semesters. Merit scholarships can also be awarded in addition to a study grant.

Application and Forms

The forms to apply for a performance scholarship are available here. Submit your application by October 31, 2024. In order to expedite your application, please upload the calculation sheet in the application form.

Please note:

  • Only subject area examinations with ECTS credit sections will be taken into account which, according to the course catalog, is actually attributable to the subject examination (excluding any courses contained in the subject area).
  • You do not need to upload a calculation form for the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences as they use a special point-based system.

You can only apply for a merit scholarship is once a year, usually in October, using the online application. The call for applications outlines the minimum requirements, required documents and application deadlines. The call will also be published in the JKU Linz "Bulletin".
