Program Objectives, Job Opportunities, Career Prospects

The curriculum for the Master's degree program is broad and features interdisciplinary aspects. Graduates will not only be able to draw on their expertise in tax law, business taxation and tax policies, but will also be able to serve as tax consultants in a professional capacity. Students receive advanced education similar to tax consultants (for example, taxation and accounting practices).

Graduates with an educational background in tax law and business taxation have outstanding career prospects. Professional positions in challenging fields are opening in the following areas:

  • Federal finance court
  • Tax departments at companies
  • Auditing
  • Banking

  • BA Business Law (JKU), BA Business and Law (University of Klagenfurt), BA Business Law (University of Innsbruck or Vienna University of Economics and Business), BA Law and Business (University of Salzburg) or a an undergraduate degree comparable in scope and content.
