Information on the Master Program Economics
In the Master's degree program in Economics (4 semesters, 120 ECTS) students are offered an advanced training in economic theory and research methods. The program is aimed at students who have the ambition to compete for jobs in a demanding environment at national and international institutions responsible for the conduct of economic policy and research. The program also provides an excellent preparation for a career in business and public administration as well as for a career in academia or similar research institutions.
Students receive a comprehensive education in modern methods of economic theory and empirical economic research. By choosing appropriate courses, students can specialize according to their interests in various fields of economics, such as international trade, labor economics, industrial economics, macroeconomics, or public finance. Courses in the program are offered in English.
Students with a Bachelor's degree in Economics can, in accordance with their desired career goals, broaden their economic knowledge by choosing Management courses. Master students who have not completed a Bachelor's degree in Economics can close potential gaps in their knowledge of economic theory and empirical research methods by attending courses from the module "Principles in Economics and Management."
