Best Paper Award and First Place to Paul Treml at DVM2020

Paul Treml was presented with the Best Paper Award at the symposium DVM2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Dynamics and Vibroacoustics of Machines, Samara, Russia, in September 2020.

Paul Treml

Out of 250 participants and 60 submitted papers, Paul Treml’s paper titled "Measurement and mathematical modelling of a coupled hydraulic-mechanical system" was ranked best. It deals with a contribution to the basic research of oscillating hydraulic and mechanical systems. Here, hydraulic and mechanical vibrational effects are investigated together or simultaneously. The hybrid system (mechanics and hydraulics) is described with mathematical models in the frequency domain, which are usually used for analysis in purely mechanical vibration systems. The paper was written within the FWF project P32494-NBL.

On account of the Covid-19 pandemic, the DVM2020, which normally takes place every 2 years in Samara Russia, was held exclusively online. This is Paul Treml's first Best Paper Award.
